Frequently asked

Answers in plain language.

Short, clear, and human. If you do not see your question, write to us.

How do I switch languages?

Open Settings → Language and pick English, Urdu, or Arabic. Arabic and Urdu are right-to-left and the whole interface flips to match.

Where are my bookmarks stored?

By default, on your device only. If you turn on cloud sync from Settings, an encrypted copy is also stored so you can restore on another device.

Can I use Saqlain without an account?

Yes. Every feature works without an account. An account is only needed if you want to sync between devices.

Where do the translations come from?

Each translation and tafseer entry credits its source on screen. We use established scholarly works of the Shia tradition.

How do I report a translation issue?

Use the report form or email us with the surah and ayah number. We review every report — corrections usually ship in the next release.

Is the app free?

Yes. Saqlain is free to download and free of ads. If you'd like to support its development, you can donate from inside the app.
