Built for the reader who wants to slow down.
Saqlain is a reflective Islamic learning app for Quran reading, tafseer, duas, ziyarat, and AhlulBayt (AS)-centered knowledge. Built because Islamic learning deserves a calm, beautiful, and trustworthy home.
Islamic knowledge should be accessible, beautiful, and meaningful.
Most Islamic apps are built to maximise engagement. Saqlain was built to minimise distraction. We designed for the person who opens an app with a sincere intention — to read, to learn, to reflect.
The Quran deserves a reading environment worthy of it. AhlulBayt (AS) knowledge deserves to be presented with care. Duas and ziyarat deserve a space that feels reverent, not rushed.
“Slow down, read deeply, and return whenever your heart needs guidance.”
Values that shape every decision.
These are not marketing phrases. They are the principles that guide what we build, what we include, and what we decline to do.
Rooted in the AhlulBayt (AS)
Every feature and content decision is made with respect for the tradition, the scholars, and the readers who rely on it.
Designed for reflection
We build for the person who wants to slow down — not the one who needs to be kept scrolling.
Honest about AI
Our AI is a learning companion, not a mufti. We are transparent about its limitations and always encourage scholarly verification.
Multi-language by design
Built from the start to support Arabic, Urdu, English, and Farsi readers — not as an afterthought.
Content with care
We curate classical Islamic sources carefully. We do not fabricate, misattribute, or rush. Accuracy is more important than speed.
Free to access
Islamic knowledge should not be behind a paywall. Saqlain is free to download and use.
Built out of a simple observation.
We noticed that most Islamic apps feel either too commercial, too cluttered, or too disconnected from the tradition they are meant to serve. Features are added for retention, not for reflection. Design is optimised for engagement, not ease of reading.
Saqlain was built as an alternative — an app designed around the reader, not around metrics. Every feature asks a simple question: does this help someone read, reflect, and connect more deeply?
We are rooted in the teachings of the AhlulBayt (AS). We are cautious about AI and transparent about its limits. We care deeply about content accuracy. And we believe that beauty in design is itself a form of respect for the knowledge it holds.
